Cyclamen Hederifolium
Cyclamen hederifolium has a talent for making difficult gardens beautiful. It blooms in autumn, producing delicate pink-purple flowers without any foliage at all — the flowers rising from bare soil in September and October with a neatness and precision that seems almost deliberate. Then the leaves arrive: beautifully marbled in silver and dark green, covering dry, root-filled ground beneath trees for the whole of winter and spring, turning the most challenging part of the garden into something genuinely decorative. Long-flowering, reliably returning and improving with every year spent in the same spot, it is the bulb for the garden's harder spaces — the ones that usually settle for bare soil or invasive weeds. Dutch-grown and selected by BLOM for healthy corms that establish well and naturalise with ease.
