Description
In May and June, violet-blue starflowers rise on upright stems. Tall and elegant, 70 to 100 centimeters long, bees and butterflies head straight for it. Flowers open step-by-step from bottom to top.
Blue camassia naturalizes like the best: once planted, it grows stronger every year without lifting. It loves moist soil, even clay, and prefers full sun or half-shade. Between late tulips and allium it brings blue depth. Excellent for cutting too. Plant in groups of three to five. Then let it do its work. It builds itself up gradually over the years.
