An XXL amaryllis bulb already holds everything the flower needs: water, food and energy, built up during a whole season in the field. The wax coat seals the bulb, so that moisture stays inside. That is why you never have to water it.

Most wax amaryllis end up in the bin after flowering. That does not have to happen. Our XXL bulbs are carefully selected for growing power, and with a little attention you give them a second life.
First blooming on its own strength: under the wax coat the bulb uses its own reserves to bloom, without water or soil.
Give it a second chance: is the bloom over? Carefully peel off the wax, spare the little roots and plant the bulb in potting soil.
With patience, bloom again: with light, plant food and a short rest in autumn, there is a chance it will bloom again next year.

The secret is already inside.
An amaryllis bulb is naturally a huge store of energy. For Waxz we select extra-large XXL bulbs that hold enough energy to grow strong stems, buds and flowers all by themselves.
The decorative wax coat seals the bulb. That is why nothing needs to be added while it blooms.
No trick. Just a remarkable piece of nature.
From one bulb to a sea of flowers?
We deliberately choose our largest, strongest amaryllis bulbs. Because the real surprise only comes once it starts to grow.
One Waxz XXL produces at least 2 to 3 strong flower stems, topped with large amaryllis flowers.

Is Waxz safe with pets?
Amaryllis is toxic to cats and dogs if they eat it. The bulb in particular contains lycorine. So keep Waxz out of reach of pets and young children.

Where is the best place to put it?
In a light spot in your home, at room temperature. Turn it a quarter turn now and then, so the stem grows nice and straight.
Do I need to remove the wax?
No. The wax coat simply stays on. It seals the bulb, so you never need to water it.
Can I combine different colours?
Yes. With 2 bulbs and with 4 + 2 free you choose the colour per bulb. That way you make your own mix.

Will it bloom again after flowering?
It can. Waxz is made to bloom fully for one season without water. Want to give it a second chance afterwards? Carefully peel off the wax, spare the little roots and plant the bulb in potting soil. Give it light and plant food in spring and let it rest for 6 to 8 weeks in autumn. Then there is a chance it will bloom again next year. It is not a guarantee.
